Our tournament has been postponed from 8th March to the weekend of 22nd, 23rd & 24th March 2013 due to the bad weather that is expected this weekend.
The Surfers Paradise Game and Sport Fishing Club Inc invite you to participate in The Lady Fishers Game Fishing Classic 8th March and the ATAS Tournament 9th & 10th March.
The format opens up the weekend for both small and large boats to compete for prizes on an even level, with two Tag and Release divisions and other species division.
The entry fees include meals as per the entry form, Tournament T-shirt and team bags. All competitors will be eligible for the trophies on offer and be in the draw for the many prizes this Tournament offers.
The Tournament is based at Southport Yacht Club, Macarthur Parade, Main Beach, only 5km south of the Gold Coast Seaway. The Southport Yacht Club will provide secure berths on a raft-up basis right in front of the clubhouse, as well as a secure hardstand for trailer boat vessels for those who wish to remove their boats. SYC will also provide discounted fuel for vessels wishing to refuel. Southport Yacht Club staff and the Committee will be there to assist with berthing.
Anglers and crew may stay on their vessels at no cost or may independently book accommodation within a wide range of establishments within walking distance of the Club. As this is a licensed Club, no swimwear, thongs, singlets or stubbies are to be worn within the licensed areas.
The compulsory briefing for skippers or team captains will be held at the Southport Yacht Club
